KENTUCKY ACTING CAMPS & CLASSES
Camps and classes for Kentucky kids, teens, and adults that have a special focus on acting in the theatre. Many of these Kentucky acting education programs also focus on singing, dancing and music. Most programs present a performance on the last day of classes. Most of the camps are day camps, but some are residential.

Lexington Children's Theatre
Lexington, KY area
Lexington Childrens Theatre offers classes, workshops, and more for students ages 4-18 throughout the school year and Fall Break.
Playmakers (PM)
In this daylong class, students explore the world of theatre by using contemporary literature, media, or a theme as their source material. The sharing will use basic costumes and scenery in a wonderful presentation at the end of the week.
Performance Workshop (PW)
Performance Workshops allow participants to improve their acting and performance skills. Students receive classes in acting, voice, and movement. Each child enrolled in the workshop receives a speaking role in the play which rehearses every day, culminating in a fully mounted performance for family and friends on Friday evening.

CTCs world-class Conservatory program provides students with extracurricular classes in acting, directing, playwriting, stagecraft, stage combat, dance, movement & voice. No previous training required. Students will learn triple threat skills by studying acting methods, vocal techniques, and choreography.
Intermediate Conservatory Program
Monarch Conservatory
Comprehensive training for elementary and middle school musical theater performers. Students invited into this program receive a group of classes offering training in acting techniques, audition training, vocal technique and styles, musicianship training, dance technique and styles, choreography, role study, ensemble technique, technical theater, and unique performance opportunities.
Conservatory training requires committed individuals.
After your successful admittance into the Monarch Conservatory program, your registration secures your childs training in the following programs:
• Intermediate Conservatory triple threat class.
• 1 hr of technical dance training per week.
• Participation in Studio Season Productions.
• Opportunity to audition to participate in NYTE in Louisville.

Advanced Conservatory Program

With comprehensive training for high school and advanced upper elementary and middle school musical theater performers, this training experience provides students with training in advanced acting techniques, audition training, vocal technique and styles, musicianship training, dance technique and styles, choreography, varied role study, ensemble technique, technical theater, and unique performance opportunities.

After your successful admittance into the advanced program, selecting this course of training secures your registration in the following programs:
Flight, The Edge, The Climb, OR The Break Out Advanced Musical Theatre Programs
• Participation in Advanced Cast Productions.
• Opportunity to audition for the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, Georgia AND/OR in NYTE in Louisville.
• Access to Private Vocal Instruction with an advanced level voice teacher at InnOVATION Arts Academy.
• Access to Community Outreach, Special Performances, and High School Internship Programs.
• Students must additionally take a minimum of 1 hr of dance per week.

ACTING first! Whether you are a ballerina or a pop vocalist, you have a role. Understanding that role in terms of acting is crucial to each performer’s development. It is also why our students will always interview and audition well! We offer acting classes for children, teens, and professional adults, as well as classes for every acting medium—stage to screen.
Our training offers students the opportunity to explore the many opportunities acting provides – beyond the stage or screen. Actor training sharpens critical thinking skills, teaches students how to think on their feet, and shows how to research and market themselves for a role or job! Actors need to be versatile and need to learn the fundamentals of acting not just how to be in a production. This drop-in class is perfect for new comers as well as experienced actors. Ages 10-13

This class is for kiddos ages 5-9. Using play the students learn to explore within boundaries, create characters, improv, and also the expectations of children in a theatrical or on camera setting. We teach the nuts and bolts and then get a little nutty!
