International Music Camp
Dunseith, ND area
Founded in 1956, The International Music Camp Summer School of Fine Arts offers a wide array of cultural study for students and adults. In weekly sessions, students of all ages gain concentrated knowledge in their particular area of interest. While the camp name speaks of its foundation in Music, IMC also offers one week summer camp programs in June and July in Dance, Creative Writing, Painting, Drawing, Theatre, and several other Fine Arts disciplines. A staff of 150+ artist-teachers, internationally noted guest conductors, and outstanding clinicians from the United States and Canada provide instruction to students from around the world.
All ages and nationalities study at IMC. Adults and students from 84 countries practice and learn together each season. Instruction ranges from beginning to advanced study, and classes are divided in order to challenge each person to the fullest of their ability.
The Drama and Musical Theatre programs offer week long studies of stage movement, vocal techniques, production methods, and a range of light to advanced choreography. A performance on Saturday marks the end of both programs. Consider staying both sessions for more acting experience!
Our physically intense Dance program is designed for hard-working dancers with at least two years of dance experience. Our Dance streams are composited of combinations of Ballet/Modern and Jazz/Tap/Theatre Dance.

Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre
Fargo, ND/Moorhead, MN areas
Class for youth and adults are offered. Theatre education embraces many aspects of student curriculum: English, History, Science, Social Studies, Math, Music, and more. Through stories, character development, problem-solving, and critical thinking, students explore these areas of curriculum in order to creatively exist within the world of a play. The goal at FMCT Ed is to expand upon a student’s frame of reference and teach them to make connections between the theatre that they create and the world in which they live. Students learn to collaborate with their peers, connect with people from differing backgrounds, and begin to see themselves as valued citizens on the world’s stage where they develop important ideas about justice, history, personal choices, politics, and humanity.

Grand Forks, ND area
Our mission is to educate students of all ages and abilities, foster their creativity, and develop their character in an Arts-filled environment.
Our Programs:
- Elementary SPA (grades K-5) is a two-week exploratory workshop full of activities such as creative dramatics exercises and theatre games. Students develop characters, create plays, and perform for each other on a daily basis. Also, on the last day there is a student-prepared public performance.
- Middle School SPA (grades 6-7) is a four-week session focusing on drama, dance, and music. The focus of this program is process rather than product, so emphasis is placed on training. The end performance is a show and tell of what they have learned throughout the session.
- High School SPA (grades 8-11) runs for two months, and hours of participation can vary greatly depending on the level of involvement. Students participate in the process of creating full-scale musical productions, either on stage as performers or backstage as part of the Technical Team. Students can receive summer school elective Fine Arts credits for participation.
- MySPA is an Arts opportunity developed for students, including those with special needs or challenges. The mission of My SPA is: to offer a unique experience of the performing arts in an individual, educational, inspirational, and exciting environment. MySPA focuses on a variety of creative expression including drama, music, movement, literature and visual arts, and culminates in a performance on the last day.
